Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 15, 2026
This privacy policy applies to the OFAC Quick Screen Chrome extension and the OFAC Sanctions Screening API operated by easysolutions906.
What data we collect
- Selected text: When you right-click and choose "Screen against OFAC", the text you selected is sent to our screening API to check against the OFAC SDN list. We do not store this text after the request is processed.
- API key: If you enter an API key, it is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. It is sent to our server only to authenticate your requests. We do not share it with third parties.
- Usage count: A daily counter of how many screens you have performed is stored locally in your browser to enforce free tier limits. This data never leaves your device.
What data we do not collect
- We do not collect browsing history, cookies, or personal information.
- We do not track which websites you visit.
- We do not collect any data unless you explicitly trigger a screening action.
- We do not sell or share any data with third parties.
Server-side processing
When you screen a name, the selected text is sent via HTTPS to our API server. The server compares the text against the publicly available OFAC SDN list and returns matching results. The screened text is not logged or stored on our servers after the response is sent.
Payments
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe handles all payment data per their privacy policy.
Data retention
We do not retain screening queries. API keys and usage data associated with paid accounts are retained for the duration of the subscription.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
